Here is a few ways to determine which to choose:
Google Listing and Reviews. We are quick to search and pick the first option we find but checking out reviews on the listing is always a good idea. Keep in mind though when filtering through reviews not everyone has a perfect score. If you see a company with a lot of low ratings and no response from the business it is safe to say that's not a good pick.
Pricing. Shop Around! Getting a few quotes is not "over doing it" it is being cautious. Pick the choice that makes the most sense and has the best ratings. Typically the lowest price means they do not have the right equipment to do the job correctly, but this is not always true.
HomeAdvisor or Angie's List. For skilled and experienced businesses they typically invest in an account on either HomeAdvisor or Angie's List. You can read reviews from customers they have done business with and also see achievement badges they have been awarded.

A company that requires full pay beforehand is most likely a scan will not show up again. Companies like ourselves may request a deposit right before a job is started but never the full amount due.

As with any service, do your research do not jump on the first option without exploring the all the options. This does not mean that you will not find yourself back at the first option it just means you tried to save yourself money and any future headaches.
